IMAGE TOOL
Image Resizer
Resize an image in your browser and download the result.
How this tool works
An image resizer changes the pixel dimensions of a local image so it fits a website, document, presentation or upload requirement. Pixel dimensions affect how large the image can be displayed clearly; they do not by themselves guarantee a smaller file size.
How to use it
- Choose an image file from your device.
- Enter the target width in pixels; enter a height too if you want an exact custom size.
- Select Resize, then use the download link to save the generated PNG.
Example and practical tips
If you set a width of 800 pixels and leave height blank, the tool calculates a proportional height from the original image so the image shape is retained.
If you enter both width and height, the image may be stretched to those dimensions. Very large dimensions can use significant memory. The result is exported as PNG, so the downloaded file may be larger than the original JPEG even if its dimensions are smaller.
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing always reduce file size?
No. The file format and image content affect file size; this tool exports PNG.
Should I set both dimensions?
Leave height blank when you want the height estimated proportionally; enter both only when you need exact dimensions.
